You are new to Whaleshares and wondering how to get started ? How to get notified by other members ot how to get rewards ? Here is a basic guide and advices to help you getting started from the right foot. Those are not setup rules but recommendation based on our experience in the warm ocean.

Sharing is caring

Whaleshares is a sharing and community platform, you can share whatever comes to your mind. But sharing and not getting any engaged comments or rewards can be frustrating. So you must give to receive: engage on other post, take time to read posts and make lovely comments, this will help you build your followers list and get noticed by other members of the platform.

Engaging on other post is really a key of success on Whaleshares, it will surely take time before you get a bunch of followers but it’s surely the way to go when you get started (and later on also by the way). Share your thoughts, your love, your kindness, your feelings and mainly share who you are!

Be yourself - Be real

Try to stick to who you are, post stuff that you care about and not what you think others will like. Being real and sharing the stuff you love in life is probably the best way to respect yourself and to connect with other people who have the same interests. This will help you build a consistent followers list who will in return comment and rewards your work.

If you share photography, take time to write about it, talk about your feelings, the context, what was in your mind when you took the picture. Posting a single photo without any text is absolutely fine and allowed, but then you may have very little engagement by the community.

Original content aka no plagiarism

In short: do not copy/past articles from the web, that’s not you and the community will sense it. Plagiarism is simply not the way to go, never.

That said, you can use some stuff found on the web such as images or text but you must always provide the sources to give credit to the original author. Then, if you are participating in contests, you need to use original content in all case. If you use text that’s not yours, you should make it clear and quote the concerned text using the quote markup: < example:

This is a quote which means it was said by someone else

Learn patience

Patience, as humans we have to learn it from our first day on earth right ? And we may struggle with patience quite a few time in life. Still, patience is a virtue and help avoiding frustration. The world was not build in one day, your account on Whaleshares will not be build in a week or two, you need time to get noticed and get rewarded. We all started little, growing take time but good work always pay at some point.

They are already many communities on Whaleshares, for example some are focused on quality text, photography, poetry, religion or languages. Join the community you love and feel comfortable with.
