Lightening Round ~ Debonair

This is what I came up with.

He was almost choking when he got to his room. He had ignored the elevator. Climbing the stairs to the eleventh floor was exhausting, almost a punishment but he needed the stress. Today, he lost. Something that had never happened to him before.

All his life, he been debonair. There was no other word to define him. It all changed when she came into his life. She took everything, destroying him in the process. Now, his children too. Cursing tersely, he yanked his tie off. He wasn't as bad as she made everyone believe. She deserved another black eye.
