Question 19: What did you eat as a child that you can’t stand now as an adult?

From October 19, 2012:

I used to eat peanut butter. It was just a staple growing up because it was cheap and a good source of protein. I can't stand the stuff now unless it is sweetened (I think a lot of people are like that, though). Peanut butter with chocolate is my favorite combination for it. Reese's peanut butter cups, for instance, are very good. The Easter chocolate eggs? Not so much. It's just a different texture or something... Either or, I'll eat the peanut butter first, and get every little bit of peanut butter off the chocolate because I really want to savor the chocolate.

Just remember, there's no wrong way to eat a Reese's...

Anyway... Another thing I used to eat as a kid was fish sticks. I haven't had them since, so I don't know if I still like them. I can't imagine the taste changed, so I probably do. There was a door-to-door frozen-food delivery company which used to sell them to us. That was also the only source of frozen treats my sister and I got when we were children. I especially miss twin pops and ice cream sandwiches.

I never liked sauerkraut, though. Not all by itself. I like it when it's seasoned and served with polish sausage. I can't think of any other way I ever had it.

Going through this list... it turns out I can't think of anything I used to eat as a kid that I don't like anymore... I'm always willing to try things again if I remember I hated them so sure enough it's visa versa. Actually, I hear that taste buds age, so it makes sense my tastes would change as a result of that.
