Mr Bright has never travelled out before, so when he did, it was so obvious for all to see. He even knelt down at the lead way to the plane. He never knew his flight ticket qualified him for the meals that would be shared on the plane. When they came to him, and he couldn’t understand what the hostess was saying, all he did was to gesture with his hand and say thank you. He said she was too fast in speaking. Hahahaha. He didn’t eat at all till he landed. He never knew.

He was fortunate to be in another flight with another new entrant, after many years. This newbie was so jittery and sometimes almost in tears, during taking off and landing. When the air hostess came to them, when this newbie wanted to wave the hostess away, (like he did back then), he stepped in and ordered for this newbie. Why was he able to do that? Because he remembered. He knew how he was when he was a newbie too. It kept him humble and kind. He remembered where he was coming from and how he got to where he is right now. He ordered for the newbie and they both ate this time around.

When the plane was about to land, this newbie literally clutched to Mr Bright’s leg amidst fear and panic. Mr Bright smiled because he “understands” and because “he remembered” due to the flashbacks.

Upon leaving the plane, this newbie was quick to step out. So he was a few paces ahead of Mr Bright when Mr Bright wish to know where the newbie was heading, either to offer a word of advice or to be of help and get him there safely.

Mr Bright called out to him, and he turned back, looking at Mr Bright like a stranger. Mr Bright was shocked. Obviously, the newbie has forgotten. He has quickly forgotten who helped him, who was there for him, who made it easier for him. He changed his countenance, changed even to his fake accent.

Mr Bright gave him the last words amidst the drama and told him, his type is usually those who forget who has helped them. He told him his kind of attitude shows he might not even remember those who helped him travel out for the first time.

Nobody is perfect. No one knows it all. Your response to a situation is not based on the situation but based on your character. Your character is like a smokescreen, it will show forth because you cannot hide it for long.

Never forget where you come from, how you got here, and those who helped you along the way, coupled with those who were there for you. It is easier to forget. I won’t forget, will you?

...The End...

Thank you for your time.
