Unity ~ A Community Witness

I am honored to announce that I have launched the unity witness to help secure the blockchain as there have been too many who have disabled their witness. There are many reasons for those who have disabled their witnesses. Many start a witness in hopes of earning riches beyond their dreams. To me, money is a secondary feature of the platform and while important to some it is at the bottom of my wants list. My main focus is t build the best community I am able to be a part of.

Whaleshares is very important to me and is where I spend most of my free time around my family duties. I am here because I had lost most of the joy of using Steemit. I see the great potential that this blockchain can have and I think enough of us have learned from many of the mistakes we saw on steemit unfold in real time. We have the power to keep those same mistakes from repeating here on whaleshares and I am excited to be a part of that. I still have many friends on the Steemit platform that I will slowly bring to this platform as time goes on.

I hope by adding a stable witness to the platform that is not being run for the monetary side of being a witness that the security of the platform will be more stable. It is very disheartening to see a witness disable or one that is not updated correctly in a timely manner. I am not sure what project I want to run with my witness yet as I already have my time consumed by the level of engagement that my account has as well as the role I play in Team bHive. I will think more about a project for the witness as we come to the conclusion of the beast community challenge. I have already placed funds into the witness account for once I figure out what I will do with the account directly.

As a community witness, I would like your suggestions on what the funds earned with the account could be used for. I am typically giving away whalestake to users through my contests or once another witness has a working project. I think the best way to run my community witness would be allowing the community to have some input into how the votes are used. I am not a self-voter and neither will my witness as I do not find voting myself to be the best use of my stake. So what do you think would be a good use for my witness votes? What type of community project would you like to see?

I feel like setting up my witness feels like completing the puzzle for my personal role on whaleshares. I spend enough time here, I am doing all I can to build the best community I can based on my ability. A witness seems like the final piece to me as far as showing my commitment to the platform.
