Stats and Fun Facts, but differently

Before

I used to do weekly posts on General Stats, Fun Facts, and Financial Stats. It was fun to do, fun to see the changes, but it was also a lot of work. Partly because I was too lazy to adjust the code, partly because I already had other plans which made every adjustment to the code a waste of time.

After

Recently I started adding stats to http://whaleshares.nl. It is not a secure connection yet, but also doesn't have any option for you to provide (sensitive) information, other than an accountname. So there is no danger of exposing information.

Although there is still a lot to do, now is a good time to test it, see if it can handle some traffic.

You can check:

• Witness Votes
  (rank, number of voters, and so on)
• Account Information
  (name, reputation, posts, (proxy) witness votes, and so on)
• Rich & (in)Famous
  (a top 25 listing of accounts that hold Whalestake/WLS)

Coming Up

More features will be added to the above mentioned stats, but also new stats.

For Example:

• (in)Active Followers
• Unfollowers
• Max reward
• Stats on the Blockchain in general
• Charts

Further away Future

Due to growth of the blockchain, it will get harder to query for information in a timely fashion. A switch to querying a database, instead of the blockchain directly, will then be made.
