Whaleshares Trending And The Grind Man's Rant......

Every time I go to the trending page on Whaleshares I feel a sense of déjà vu, right to feel this of course because I lived what I am reliving now the day before, and the day before that ...................... and the day before that

You see every single time that I go to the “trending” page of Whaleshares to see what is exciting people, I am left disappointed that people are verbatim excited by the same thing that they have been every single day for the last 4/5/6 weeks..

Yes it’s the usual suspects saying the sammo same, nothing new, nothing exciting and more importantly no new voices ...... @freedomexists prattling on about some show on the WS server, pixel having yet EXCITING! Photography competition, the art posse trying to act ladida and on and on it goes.

I sound jaded not because these projects are not in themselves worthy, some of them are, it is the repetitive nature of the “trending page that I am starting to find a bit tedious ..... and there is a reason why this page repeats the same names and content at the top

You see often times as to make it almost all of the time that, it is the big names on the platform who occupy the top spots of the trending page, they publish their post and push it with the weight of their upvote and because these guys operate as a gang, all the bit hitters throw the weight of their upvotes behind whoever is publishing at that time in some sort of unspoken quid pro quo , I say quid pro quo because this of course then repeats when the next person within the “gang decides to post and thus you have the same names on the trending page every day, all of the time.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am a capitalist, a realist and I am fully up to speed with the state of play ..... “no shade no tea” as they say in south central insert wherever here also, I understand that a lot of these posts that these people push to the top of the trending page are community related posts which necessarily have to be seen as widely as possible, but damn, it does get half tedious!

Once , just once I would like to see some irreverent young babe trending with a post where she is just chatting shit, or some cool dude trending with a blog on some of the cool stuff that he does ..... anything! ... anyone! ... just a different voice, a fresh voice ...... I think really the trending page should not be a notice board, perhaps a notice board can be created for these public notice type posts and the trending page can be ring fenced for inspired interesting and creative posts, this really is what would happen ideally because clearly, the whales are suffocating that trending page, this is patently obvious.

But alas we do not live in an ideal world and until we do it’ll pretty much continue to be same ol same .... roll up roll up ... Pixels got another photo opportunity! ... PRIZES! To be won! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: ....... roll up roll up, WS server is having an audio show .... TOKENS BEING DISHED OUT! :wine_glass: :chains: :100: :first_place_medal:
