We-Talent Round # 5 - "The Bostonian"

I created this Boston Terrier for a dog rescue fundraiser a couple years ago. He disappeared for a year - taken right off the gallery wall! I was heartbroken as he was my first dog portrait. Amazingly, he was found and all was well again. Quite love this little fellow.
The story behind him is that since I am a new artist, I chose the 'wrong' paper for graphite drawing - it was a heavy tooth paper (very) I think meant for chalk. In any case, I couldn't turn back once the spirit of the dog came to life and decided to push through to the end.
Surprisingly, that wrong choice of paper ended up to be the right choice as it gave it a certain antique look - like an old newspaper picture of a dapper dog.
