A Trip To Chimney Rock Cave

The following photo's aren't exactly photographically amazing but they an experience we had back in 2012!

Chimney Rock cave is located approximately a mile down river from the Y hwy low water river access just north of our small town.

Our good friend @johnbutler's family actually owns this land and might be one of the few caves in the whole state of Missouri that isn't barred up to prevent human access because of White-nose Syndrome in the bats in the area.

Fair warning these photo's aren't great, or even in focus, but they are a reminder of years and adventures past....

It's kindof a strange feeling being in a cave and seeing it from the inside out...

I once heard a story about someone finding an old wallet full of hundred dollar bills in one of the holes in the side of one of these pillars, i don't know if there's any truth to this but it is interesting to think about while exploring our area where bank robbers and gangsters use to hide out in..
