Last time I talked about my summer walk in the center of St. Petersburg. But this time I focused on the reflections shot on the Palace Square. Today I want to tell more about the walk itself.

As I said, I arrived in the city center by car and left it on one small street next to the embankment of the Neva River.

From there I headed along the embankment towards the Troitsky bridge.

My goal was to come to the bridge and shoot the sunset over the Neva and the Peter and Paul Fortress.

But the light that evening was not very expressive. The whole sky was covered with dense clouds and the light only slightly broke through on the horizon.

While on the bridge, I decided to try to shoot a tiny planet panorama. To be honest, I expected the worst result, but the phone did a pretty good job.

After spending a little time on the bridge, I went towards the Palace Square. For this I had to return to the embankment.

After walking along the embankment, I crossed the road near the bridge over the Winter Canal, which flows into the Neva River.

From the Winter Canal, I walked along Millionnaya Street and ended up on Palace Square.

Here, the first thing that got into my lens was the Winter Palace itself.

There is a huge Alexander Column in the middle of the square. Frankly speaking, I am surprised that I managed to fit the entire column into the frame. Here again the phone helped me with its wide-angle camera.

Opposite the Winter Palace is the General Staff building, in the center of which is the Arc de Triomphe.

After wandering a little around the square, I went back to my car. On the way, I again came to the Troitsky Bridge. I wanted to take a photo of the same views now that the buildings are already lit by the evening lights.

Many yachts sailed along the river, on which tourists enjoyed a warm summer evening and the beauty of St. Petersburg. I think that the city looks no less elegant from the water.

On the way to the car, I stopped several times to take pictures. Here, for example, I shot the evening sky over the Trinity Bridge and the Peter and Paul Fortress.

And here I drew attention to the fishermen. It has always surprised me that people show interest in fishing in the very center of a metropolis.

Also on the way, I filmed evening traffic against a blue sky at blue hour.

Such a sky lends interest to photography.

And on the way, I tried to photograph the opposite bank of the Neva.

Around here, my road along the embankment ended and I went deeper into the small streets to get into my car and go home.

Sounds good for a Friday night walk? As far as I remember, that day I managed to walk over 15,000 steps in a day. And the bulk of them fell on this walk. A pleasant addition to the pleasure of the beauty of the evening St. Petersburg.

I strongly recommend to open the photo in a separate tab to appreciate it.
