THE VOICE OF REVELATION (1).jpg

In the last episode, we talked about fornication and today, I am going to say little about uncleanness.

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry..... Colossians 3: 5

Uncleanness means something that is not pure, unacceptable, not to be near. There are so many things and ways that can be called unclean when it comes to Christian life and anything unclean cannot enter the kingdom of God because God is holy.

But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” - 1 Peter 1:15-16

Anything that did not give glory to God is unclean, a heart that thinks evil at all times is unclean, a body that allows the temptation of the devil is unclean, anything that is worldly is unclean in short, anything that is called sin is unclean.

14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

“I will live with them
and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they will be my people.”

17 Therefore, “Come out from them
and be separate,
says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing,
and I will receive you.”

18 And, “I will be a Father to you,
and you will be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.” - 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

As a child of God, make sure to stay clear of anything that is not glorifying God; anything unclean and He will be your God and your Father.

Thanks for reading and stay blessed.
