The tiger has revealed his claws,
thank you — your eyes they were always firm
when you look at me,
those eyes that shined sedately
now I realise they shined for revenge.
I was a sunflower everyday following those lights without realising it,
How could I have been so stupid?
Just the fact that we are not friend but someone else, my betrayal.
Breaks my heart.
You are not just anybody but my friend
It can't get any worse than this,
If your goal was not to bite and rip me,
You have already succeeded your revenge
by making me rely on you completely.
I've raised a flag of truce to you,
during war they don't attack the one who raise a flag of truce and treat them nicely.
Since you can't wait.
I'll bring myself down from this position and leave
But give me some time.

My thoughts

Reality has a way of creating experience in people's memory.

life lesson - There was a philanthropist who found a wretched person on the street, unknown to this generous man, his own father scammed the hell out of this miserable lad's family - they became friends - The philanthropist fed, clothed and gave shelter to this lad but only for this individual to become a full grown adult consumed with greed, revenge, unforgiveness, bitterness. Karma came but it bit the wrong evil doer.

This Samaritan lost all they had after they blindly willed their possesson, wealth, properties to someone who he saw as a friend forgoing the consequences due to the bond and trust established .

This was what made me to write this poem - betrayal in a dicey recompense!

Are you reading this piece right now and feel like you have been in this boat before?

Are you reading this piece right now and believe the law of "What you sow you shall reap, even unto your offspring". Therefore the deeds of our parents could haunt us someday.

Are you reading his poem right now and feel life is unfair to others?

I'd love to read your feedback in the comment section.
