Many consider it the world’s first metropolis. In fact, it is seen as the first true global capital.

No. This is not an effort to remember a day, a day whose memorial resembles another nearly 60 years preceding it. Well not entirely. The struggle that be is a surreal ride of glimmering remnants out of time.

As a child there was chatter of bats out of the walkable sewer pipes. Needed only traverse the cemetery.
No, not travels of the dead. Yes, there was a cold war ongoing. This was just fun-time out in the sub-metro.

Maybe it was the pollution of the times, when metal rides were real, were powerful. Maybe it was young eyes yearning to see the glimmer of stars through a red coated sea and sometimes, if lucky, a purple haze.

Hard to imagine growing up any other way. Work, school, life, and sometimes, so ever infrequent, love.

Any wonder how things warmed up. Good thing for that tiny fan in the digital hot box that did away with riders on the icy road:( Now text wired in on the new Telly.

Time to ride the wire, fly b-eye why're…
