Sweater Weather

Hey everyone!

Surprise, surprise. This is my first post for 'The Beast 2', yay! I'm not sure why I am participating, because it's gonna take a lot of time, which I don't really have... But hey, it's the perfect opportunity to show more of myself and engage with more people, so let's give it a try and see where this is going to end! I will still write about fashion and my outfits, but I'm thinking of giving it a little twist.

But because I'm a little stubborn, I'm going to start this challenge with an outfit anyway. And not just a normal one. Oh no, it's one of my most comfortable, easy, yet stylish outfits.

Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to take detailed photos of the fabrics, so I owe you!;)

Cuddle up

Winter isn't my favorite season at all. I get cold easily and I feel like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer all the time. So you can guess what I like to do best during Winter. Indeed, stay inside and cuddle up on the couch with a blanket. But unfortunately I can't do that all day every day, so I need to wear clothes that will keep me warm when defying the cold (it's not even below zero degrees during the day in the Netherlands, but let me exaggerate a little over here).

Grey weather asks for a grey sweater

Some years ago I bought this grey oversized sweater. The first time I wore the sweater, I combined it with black jeans and some black boots. But soon I discovered that I could also wear it with tights. A perk of being a short girl, ha!

So the tights (black, of course) and dress were picked. The only thing missing was shoes. And I needed some more feminine shoes with this dress, because it is already an oversized one which doesn't look very girly.

Suddenly I remembered my knee-high boots. Those beige heeled ones I showed you in one of my first posts on Whaleshares. Back then I wore them with a leather skirt and I haven't worn them much since.

So I put them on and this is what it looked like!

The perfect match

My first thought was: 'Is it weird to combine beige with grey?'. But then I was like: 'Hell no!'. Of course it isn't weird. I think the colors look perfect together and it would be much more basic if I would wear black boots under this sweater dress.

When I go outside I wear my beige coat and my black and white scarf with this outfit and it looks really sophisticated if I'm allowed to say so hihi.

So how do you guys stay 'warm' during the winter days? Or how do you cope with the lack of sun light?

See you!
Dymph
