My Entry for Meat Free Monday Challenge - Burgers!!

The challenge has Monday stated in the name but I ate them yesterday, so I guess it is more a Meat Free Thursday Challenge for me this time.

What it looked like

Let's first show you what meat free burgers look like.

When I say meat free burgers, you can see I am not just eating a burger. That wouldn't be enough to be called a meal.

Burger

  • Lentils 1 cup (dry)
  • Carrots 1 cup (finely chopped)
  • Garlic 2 (minced)
  • Onion 1 cup (finely chopped)
  • Breadcrumbs 1/2 cup (or more)
  • Thyme 1 tablespoon (dry)
  • Paprika 1 teaspoon
  • Oregano 1 tablespoon (dry)
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Zap it together until you can form patties with the mixture.
Add breadcrumbs if it is too wet.
Put them in the fridge for half an hour to make them more firm.
Panfry.

Sweet Potato Fries

  • Sweet Potatoes 1 kg (cut in little strips)
  • Salt & Pepper & Oil (just a little bit)

Toss it all together. Divide them over lined baking sheets. Make sure the fries don't overlap.
Put them in a preheated oven of 190 oC, for about 30 minutes.

Finishing Touch

Dress it up the way you like.
