It was a game of emotions as Leeds felt hard done by in what they deemed as Rudiger's cheating but the referee felt differently and Chelsea had to come from behind to win this goal fest encounter by 3-2. Goals from Rafinha and Gelhardt couldn't prevent Chelsea from taking the 3 points thanks to a double from Jorginho from the penalty spot and also a goal from Mason Mount.

Chelsea hosted Leeds United to get back to winning ways after they lost their foothold at the top of the table to Manchester City. Thomas Tuchel's men had to dig deep, late into the game to secure a 3-2 win against Leeds United who now languishes in 15th place on the log.

Leeds got off to a promising start after Alonso gave away a penalty after his challenge on Daniel James inside the box. With the help of the VAR, the referee pointed to the spot and Rafinha stepped up to take it. Rafinha found the back of the net in the 26th minute with Mendy unable to do anything about it.

Alonso made up for giving away the penalty earlier after his lovely low drive delivery into the box was pounced on by Mason Mount whose snapshot inside the box left the goalkeeper helpless and Chelsea got themselves back into the game in the 41st minute.

Chelsea went one step further and got ahead for the first time in the game in the 55th minute after Rudiger won a penalty with a foul from Rafinha inside the box. The referee consulted with his side monitor and pointed to the spot. Penalty specialist; Jorginho, stepped up and found the back of the net in the 58th minute with class.

Leeds thought they had settled for a draw in the 83rd minute after Gelhardt scored a Mount-sque goal after he pounced on a low drive delivery into the box as he got a touch on it to put the ball into the back of the net to level the matters, 2-2.

Chelsea didn't give up, neither did Rudiger as he won his second penalty of the game much to the annoyance of Leeds supporters and players. They felt it shouldn't have been given but the referee gave it. Jorginho stepped up one more time for Chelsea and he came to their rescue as he sent the ball into the back of the net to win the game by 3-2.

It was a much-needed win for Chelsea who needed to get back to winning ways and also keep the pressure on league leaders, City and also Liverpool. Chelsea wouldn't mind the drama at the end of the game as long as they managed to get their 3 points and that's all that matters in football.
