Philippine Sports : Alaska Aces burned Meralco Bolts in Game 4

Alaska Aces never waited for Meralco Bolts to take action of their loses in the series. The Aces closes the window for Meralco Bolts and take forward to finals and will meet Magnolia Hotshots. The Meralco Bolts did well on the first half of the game but it seems they have slowed down on their offensive efforts in the second half of the game. I thought that Meralco Bolts would able to reach until Game 7 on their series since I see that Allen Durham is fully determined based on his exerted effort but anything could happen instantly. And so, the Alaska Aces took a good grip at the start of second half and hold it until they finish Meralco Bolts and win the game.

In the first quarter of their game, Mike Harris of Alaska Aces takes a good layup after they won the jump ball. But Baser Amer answered this with a layup also and a good three-point jump shot that helped tied the points. And after that, the Meralco Bolts take the lead after another three-point shot was made by Baser Amer and Durham. They took the advantage and been throwing consecutive three-point shots successfully that gives the Meralco Bolts with a seven-point lead 21-28.

In the second quarter, there had been a good turning point for Alaska Aces where they put to use JVee Casio from the bench and scored seven points in the first seven minutes. It was really a good effort from Casio which helped lessen the gap towards their score against Meralco Bolts which helped down to four-point lead only. And so Harries takes the opportunity to work on the remaining point gap where his successful layups keep and take the lead for two points. But the Meralco Bolts answered it immediately after Chris Newsome takes a successful three-point play after he was fouled by Banchero during his successful driving layup into the basket. The second half ended with 47-48 with Meralco Bolts on the upper hand.

At the start of the third quarter,, we can see that Alaska Aces has been working hard to make a comeback after they were being outscored in the first half. Now, A joint offensive efforts on both Baclao and Harris did a big impact on their lead in the first five minutes in the game. Now, Casio and Teng do the rest which gives them a good hold of their lead. The third quarter ended with final score 68-60.

Now in the final quarter, Banchero and Harris take a good hold in the final moments of the quarter. And so with those efforts, they successfully win the game against Meralco Bolts with final score 99-92.
