Nottingham Forest hosted Arsenal in their 3rd round tie of the Emirates FA Cup and it ended in a defeat for this youthful Arsenal side with a mixture of experience. Nottingham Forest caused an upset because everyone would have expected Arsenal to get through this tie easily going with their current form but Nottingham Forest broke their heart and they got dumped out of the FA Cup early.

It was a balanced game with chances from both sides but the only difference was Nottingham took one of their chances which Arsenal didn't and they have Grabban to thank for poking the ball home after excellent work from Yates to deliver the ball into the box. Nottingham Forest caused a major upset and the memory would live on in their minds.

Eddie Nketiah led the line for this Arsenal side and he almost gave his side the lead after he went solo and his audacious attempt just outside the box missed the target as he couldn't steer it towards the target. Arsenal had another goal attempt but this time around it was Albert Sambi Lokonga who was found with a lovely pass in an almost identical position as Eddie Nketiah and his attempt also met the same fate as that of Nketiah earlier.

Nottingham Forest showed they didn't come to roll over as a brilliant surging effort towards Arsenal's box almost led to a goal when Danish player; Philip Zinckernagel was picked out inside the box and his effort from close range was denied by the goalkeeper; Leno.

Nottingham Forest had another chance through Garner from a set-piece position. His wonderfully delivered freekick was parried away to safety by Leno and there was a shout for a penalty afterwards after Nottingham Forest was bundled off the ball inside the box but the referee didn't bulge.

The shocking moment of the game came after Arsenal lost possession of the ball in the middle of the park and Nottingham Forest took advantage to charge forward. A beautifully delivered ball was put into the path of Grabban from the right-hand side into the box by Yates and all Grabban needed to do was to guide the ball into the back of the net with ease. It was a brilliant move by Nottingham and good awareness and positioning by the goal scorer in the 83rd minute.

The game ended 1-0 in favour of Nottingham and you could see what it means to them as their fans celebrated wildly as they caused a major upset in the FA Cup 3rd round tie against Arsenal. Many would have written them off before a game was kicked but they showed their intent and now they are through to the next round.
