Introduction by Apetivist

Hello all!

I am here thanks to my friend Chris Bird @profanereviews who wrote me a great tutorial on how to start and what this is basically all about. I will have to read it again a few times to better understand. I am Apetivist or @apetivist from Twitter. You can call me Ape or Apey as many do. I am a former Fundamentalist Christian (Southern Baptist flavor) and was a minister for 5 years. In my attempt to become more knowledgeable and effective at ministry and understanding the higher aspects of Christianity I took courses through Liberty University in Theology, Apologetics, etc.

I was doing well in my first year but by the second year I began to see a lot of problems and that was just by thinking some things through. I will spare details for later. However, after a year or so I began to see that Christianity was, for me, not tenable. I left the ministry and later joined the Army as I knew nothing else but that and martial arts.

I have written several articles for website and have done some YouTube interviews too. However, long story short since 2010 I have been physically disabled by a neurological disease. I spend most of my time now being taken care of as I can't take care of myself. However, I am writing a book series on my thoughts and research upon Atheism, Critical Thinking, Logic, Philosophy and Science, and Humanism. I will share my writings here as a preview of things to come in my book series. If you wish to know more I'm out there on the internet. Give me some time, otherwise, and you will hear it from my own writings.
