There is no denying the fact that life is about risk. Nothing is ever truly certain until we try. Nothing is sure until we dare.

Life is about risk and this is what makes it unpredictable and also fun. Risk is part of life and there will come a time in your life, where you will have to bear some level of risk. Most of us try to play it carefully. Most of us like to be too cautious and not dare or risk. Take it or leave it, the risk is part of life.

Look before you leap, we have heard this times and times again. We are to make careful considerations before we take any major decision. You'd ask, isn't life about risks? Yes, life is about risks. "What if it doesn't work out?", you asked. I would ask you the same, "What if it does?" You can't do without taking some level of risks but try to weigh your options carefully. Don't just go blindly.

Who else wants to go into a business and won't do market evaluation? There is no guarantee anywhere, yes, but do all you can do first. Do your part and that includes due diligence.

Most people go for the blame game when the risk they took didn't pay off. They blame everything and everyone else apart from themselves. They feel the world owes them something without knowing we make or mar our own life by the choices we make in this life. Life is about risks, learning and making impacts.

Those who blame everyone else but themselves always make the mistake of confusing risk for stupidity. Taking a risk means you have weighed your options to some extent, looked before you leapt and showed that you are responsible for whatever outcome it is.

We know life is uncertain. In this life, nothing can be said to be certain except for death and taxes. It's this uncertainty that drives us to take risks and hope for the best after taking necessary steps. Life responds to pressure and that's why with persistence we can hit that threshold and hit the bull's eye.

Take risks, yes, take calculated risks and even calculated risk is still never certain but you get to the point where you know if it all goes south, you are still willing to push ahead and take responsibility because taking that responsibility would help you make informed decisions to move ahead.

I heard about a guy that lost over $100,000,000. Everyone in the office heard about it because they all work for him and expected him to be all moody and gloomy the next day at work, that's if he comes at all.

He came to the office and was all chatty. He was greeting everyone and asking how everyone is. They all mustered a smile and a curious staff went to him and asked, "Sir, we just lost over 100 million dollars, how are you still in this exciting mood? His response shocked this particular staff and he said, "I am the same person that made that 100 million dollars and I haven't forgotten how I made it".

Life is all about risk but we can take calculated risks and if it still goes south, let's take it as one of the things that happen.

There was a man who never laughed or played, he never sang, he never smiled or prayed but one day when he died, his insurance was denied, for they claimed he never really lived, so he never really died”. That was a man who never risked. He was uncertain as to what he would get. Well, at least he took a risk on insurance hahaha. Risk is part of life and if we want to continue living, we can’t avoid certain risks.

The higher the risk, the greater the success, and that’s the truth. The higher the risk, the higher the experience too. As we have earlier discussed, to know what a certain percentage of risk to take involves balance. In everything about life, balance is needed, more so with the level of risk to take, which is why I stressed the calculated risk and looking before leaping.

Thank you for your time.
