Power.
There is nothing like obedience until there is an instruction. In the absence of the law there is no sin. Sin is the violation of the law, so if there is no law there is no sin...same with, if there is no instruction, there is no disobedience. Adam violated the law of God which made Adam and Eve to fall in the garden of Eden. The devil got the authority in a way after man fell in the garden.
We were born in sin and that's why we cannot pay the price for sin. A lawyer indicted cannot vindicate another person convicted. Jesus had to bear the sin so as to let us off the hook. Jesus became a sin for us...not a sinner...but a sin... So by the law of substitution, Jesus became the substitute for our death which sin is bound to give to us. The wages of sin is death and whoever wants to bear the sin of others had to die...that's why Jesus went through the cross for our sake.
Imagine dying with sin...it's a direct route to devil's territory. Imagine Jesus dying and being sunk into the lower part of the earth...in devil's territory and after the third day He rose...to take that authority away from the devil. The resurrection is the power of God on display with Jesus making a mockery of the devil and the authority the devil have.
The resurrection of Jesus gave us great expectation. The death of Jesus Christ cut us off from the old nature. The resurrection of Jesus signifies a new beginning to us. He eliminated our past. God sees no record of our past with the death of Jesus.
Essence of Resurrection.
Engenders New Life:
When Jesus paid the price for sin, I was in Him. We identify with what Jesus did. Resurrection engenders newness of life. When God sees us, He sees us with Christ on the cross.
It Eradicates Shame: 1Corinthians 15:43
Jesus went through shame so we don't have to go through the shame again. Our bodies are buried in brokenness so we can rise up with Christ. Our bodies are buried in weakness so we can rise up in strength. Every shame Jesus went through and all He went through was for us never to go through them again.
It Enables/Empowers Us To Walk In The Supernatural Power:
That power that raised Christ is able to take us from an extreme down low to a desired end. We can go from a phase to a better one. It empowers us to be better and enjoy supernatural power that transforms and changes the reality of things.
The devil thrives on ignorance. Jesus already said we have all the power due to His resurrection, so there is no power attributed to the devil again. The devil uses devices and not power. The devil tries to control and hold people bound with fear not because the devil have the power. Jesus has the power and He has given us as believers to control the narrative of things. Holy Ghost is on the inside working on the outside. It's not about who you are but whose you are; God's.
If the power of God can raise Christ then it can raise us and the goodness is, the power of God rose Christ so it's no longer a matter of IF...because the power of God is always ready to raise and help us.
It Quickens Our Mortal Bodies:
The first Adam gave death but the last Adam; Jesus, is a life giving spirit. No one can successful operate in faith without knowledge. Jesus introduced Himself to Abraham as the God that quickens due to the "death" around him bevause the Bible made us understand that the womb of Sarah is dead. In the olden days, people call God based on the aspect of Himself that He has revealed to them. They called Him Jehovah Jireh when He provides. God had to introduce an aspect of Himself that hasn't been revealed yet to Abraham...bringing the deadness of the womb of Sarah back to life.
Jesus became poor for us to be rich. It means Jesus is a rich man...rich in everything and became poor for us...meaning He substituted Himself for what we could have become. The same way He became sin for us...not a sinner but He became sin for us. He became poor for us to be rich in everything. The God is Abraham; Abraham was rich. The God is Isaac; Isaac was rich. The God of Jacob; Jacob was rich. Jesus is from the root of David... David was rich. Jesus became poor for us...it didn't say Jesus was poor but to take us out He had to become it first.
It Empowers You For Righteous Living and It Secures Victory Over Death:
God raised Jesus from the death (resurrection) releasing Him from the agony of death because it was impossible for Jesus to be held by the cluthes of death. It is not avenue for us to continue to sin but knowing who we are, we are to carry ourselves in like manner and operate from the place of understanding - knowing who we are in Christ and walking accordingly.
