BEAUTIFUL SOUL

Toughened by her situation
No looking back on this one
Unless she finds one true love
Who can blame her for this story?
She was young just like us
When her life took another turn
Her mother’s love was missing
Like a Sudoku puzzle
Father only cared about his booze
Till he mistakenly killed himself.
Brought up by the streets
Exposed to drugs and pills
Saw that as the only way of life
Nobody was around to caution her
Till she was lost in the wicked world
Without love or care shown towards her.
Queen of the night is here
Gun in her waist
Always ready to shed blood
If you are born as a man
You die by her bullet
If you ever cross her path recklessly.
Far deep in crime
Stealing in the city
Killing with no remorse
Wanted in so many cities
But never caught by the law
Because she operates like the wind.
Now she wants the love of a man
But the heart is too dark
If she never finds true love
Let her die in her nemesis
For she had the choice
To do good and not become a menace.
My Thoughts
This 6-stanza poem is about a girl that chose the life of crime because there was no one to caution, care and warn her about the path she has chosen. We always have options in this life no matter how bad the situation we find ourselves. Life gave her a choice; be good or be bad. The consequences of being bad held her from finding the true love she truly wants. I have seen girls without parents or guardians living a better life; they struggled through the problems and today, we read about their stories like biography or auto-biography. I have discovered the more we dwell in evil, the weaker our conscience gets. Life without conscience is as terrible as living without parental guidance. Let us come together to say No to the life of crimes or drugs. Karma is real, you reap what you sow. You can’t plant yam and harvest cocoa, that is not possible.
