Pat Benatar is undisputedly one of the true queens of Rock & Roll. The crowds she pulled in and their enthusiasm to see her perform is as big as nearly any other superstar then or now.

Her band was incredible and as a full time performer I can truly appreciate their skill as a band. The temptation for the keyboard player to push the tempo is completely avoided in this stellar performance. It goes without saying that the drums need to be absolutely rock solid in every song, but so much more so in this amazing hit song.

One of the truest things a band can give their fans is an incredible experience that is pure in and of itself and something that sets aside anything and everything that is not related to that performance including personal differences.

The fans paid to see a great show. Give them that.

Bug
