For the Deranged-Visions Photocontest this week the theme is Black & White. And I have to say, although I love a good Black & White photo. I also find it sometimes difficult to decide whether it is a good one for Black & White.

Happy Dogs & Photography

So I decided to let my heart speak. I am the first person always to shout out that photography is all about "Capturing the emotions of the moment". And that's exactly what I did with this image. My two passions in life. Happy Dogs & Photography. This image i didn't make today, but I want to use it anyway now to honour my dog Rowan (the white shepherd). Here he is running with his dogfriends. Chasing after the ball and having fun. And that's what I want for him to do again.

I decided to bring a dog into my life

Like many who follow me will be known by now ... I LOVE dogs. I dare to say that even stronger. The fact that I am still walking around, that I still live at all I owe to a dog. At the most difficult moment of my life, the time I was in the 'black hole' ... at that moment I decided to bring a dog into my life. And from that moment on, from the moment I came home with the 9 week young puppy Rowan ... now 10 years ago, from that moment on I felt like living again. And together we have come where we are now. For 10 years he has been my inseparable buddy. My support and refuge ... My defender, my dog! As loyal as he is to me, I am so loyal to him ...

The difficult time had come to say goodbye

As with several people who know me from Steemit is also known, 5 months ago a dog died from me. Lexxieboy. He had a stomach turn and because his general condition was no longer good due to his allergies and illnesses, the difficult time had come to say goodbye.

Fortunately the story changed

Now last Sunday it was like the clock was being turned back. And the fright hit me when I saw Rowan show the same symptoms as Lex 5 months ago. This time I could act even faster and make sure I came to a vet with Rowan. Fortunately, the story changed from there. The overall condition of Rowan is so good, and I was with him at the vet ... so the veterinarian decided to operate it.

Rowan had passed the operation well

After a nerve-racking hour and a half, the redeeming word came. Rowan had passed the operation well. His stomach was turned back, fortunately no damage to the spleen had occurred and also the stomach wall showed no signs of death. The stomach is fixed to try to prevent recurrence.

We are still together

Now we are a few days further. Rowan has painkillers and one moment is better than the other. But ... He IS Alive! And he is recovering! He does his best, and of course I do too! We are still together ...

He rescued me 10 years ago, now I saved him. Together we are strong.

Not only He
Together, WE
