Introducing Contest #12 The Weekly Whaleshares Official / Whalecoin Photo Challenge, sponsored by #Whalecoin. This post is a weekly photography challenge which is themed-based. As a photographer, I find sometimes it’s the direction, goal, an idea that the photographer has difficulty with. Once this obstacle is removed, the creative process flows.
It was fun to see all the different interpretations of __Postcards__. The turn out was not what I had expected, however perhaps this week we might make up for it. Just wanted to thank everyone for participating.

Without any further delay, this week’s challenge is going to be Shading. I want to see compositions that are enhanced with shadowing resulting in depth to the final product. In my example,​ I used natural lighting from outside and exposed my dog to the outside light source making the other side of the dog much darker. Then I had some fun editing the image to remove the patio door, curtains​ ..etc.. pulling you deeper into the image. I think this will be a really interesting challenge this week, the possibilities are endless. The goal is to have fun, get out of your comfort zone and photograph and learn something new.
