Death of the Pigeon
Led them down to it,
Led them all,
The deep dark cavern,
To the pool of desire.
Morbid fears of mortality,
Blending in equal measure,
Creases on the eyebrow,
Forlorn, the nature around.
Forest cowered in absolute glee,
Birds perched atop the roof,
Gods went meekly,
Lest they rise like the undead.
Laid to chants,
In a cage of faith,
Molten life of sacrifices,
Poured abound the grave.
It was time,
It was not,
Stuck in between,
He stood staring.
Staring at what will never come,
A dream clasped tightly in the hand of that child,
Twisted and turned frightfully,
Into the being that it now is.
Cast into eternity,
Waiting.

- In an attempt to present something new to my readers, I decided to collaborate with @kimi on this one.
So being fair to her, I will be sharing half of the author rewards from this post with her.
Also, I would really appreciate it, if you went on to her profile and read some of the work of this talented poet.- This was also my entry to the Black and white Photography Contest by @derangedvisions , sponsored by @krazykrista and @pixel
