Whatcom Falls Park

A few days ago I went to hike around Whatcom Falls Park in Bellingham, WA. It's crazy this park is just in the middle of the city. There's miles of trails and I read that there were like 7 waterfalls in the park. I found 2. I think it'd be awesome to go at different times throughout the year and see how the park changes. Wanted to share a few of the photos I took while there.

I really like long exposure photographs and water. It makes the water and falls so silky. This bridge was really neat with all the green growing on it. I can only imagine how it looks in the spring and summer.

This one was taken on the bridge. In the summer people go and swim in the river here.

Wouldn't want to swim in the water right now. It looks super cold! After taking photos of the waterfall, we went down one of the trails just to see what else was in the park.

Thought this one would make a neat black and white shot. If I knew photoshop better, I think putting a creature's eyes or something spooky randomly in the background would be something fun. Just put it in and act like I don't know it's there until someone sees it. I need to do that with my photos every now and then.

I am really liking this new camera I got. The colors that come out of it are pretty amazing.
