Happy Monday! Hope everyone has a great week!
All our conference bits and pieces are now done so its time to really get stuck into our adventure. Today we are hanging around Yangon but tomorrow we head north to check out some of the more historical sites of Bagan and Mandalay.
Today's photochallenge topic is MONOCHROME MONDAY
In a country where there is plenty of colour, this was an interesting one, to try to find something that would suit the mood that monochrome evokes.
In the end, I settled on a photo from our visit to the Minister's Building also known as the Secretariat. This was the set of rule for British Burma, and is also the place where Major General Aung San (the Premier) was assassinated with six of his cabinet ministers, a secretary and a bodyguard. Aung San is revered as the "Father of the Nation of Modern Day Mynamar"

This photo was taken inside, the building is at the moment fairly run down, however it is slowly undergoing renovations.
