Path above the trees
We had a small excursion today visiting the Archabbey in Pannnonhalma. Unfortunately the building complex was about to close when we got up the hill, but we had a nice walk around it enjoying the surrounding gardens and the spectacular view.
This post is about an interesting construct that we have found at one end of the gardens. It is built on a slope near the hilltop and called "Treetop walkway and viewpoint". A very expressive name: just imagine huge, approximately 20-30 metres high steel columns that hold this fish-shaped wooden walkway bridge. You may feel flying like a bird as you walk on it, your steps lead you high above the trees. It is really amazing, luckily we got there at sunset, so the view was super-beautiful.
