In The Silence Of The Forest, A Black And White Feather Falls

This is my entry for the Monday Photochallenge, monochrome theme. Please see this post for full details about the contest.

I was walking in the woods when I happened to see a white feather falling. My entry for this week shows that feather after it landed, floating away on a tiny stream. (Continued below the photo...)

You can only enter one photo in the contest so the photo above is my choice. But there is a second shot I want you to see just for fun.

Here's the other photo... I took this shot while the feather was falling. As I said, this one is not for the contest. I would have entered it but it's not quite sharp. I may never get a chance at this again, however, so I just wanted to show you. How lucky to catch it while it was still falling! :-)
