Scapes Theme - Crater Lake National Park
The #tuesdayphotochallenge from @photochallenge is "scapes", whether they are landscapes, cityscapes, or anything of that sort. If you are a photographer, I would highly recommend checking out the daily themes that @photochallenge is putting out. They are a great way to show your creative side and get you out shooting something new or sharing photos that you had not previously thought to share. @gabeboy is working hard every day for the photo community here on the platform and this is a great daily challenge.
I took this picture last summer when I took the family on a trip up to Oregon. While we were there we visited Crater Lake National Park. Crater Lake is inside of a dormant volcano, is the deepest lake (1,934 feet) in the US and is fed entirely by rain and snow. It is also believed to be the cleanest and clearest large body of water in the world. That is why it has such an intense blue color to the water.
