Oh man, I love these little guys, they are just such a wonderful sight to see - that is, if you get to see them. While taking these pictures in Pretoriuskop I reflected a bit on their nature and thought about how we could learn from it.

We all know that a chameleon can change his color in order to blend in with his given surroundings, but as a matter of fact he is not just limited to environment, the chameleon also changes his color according to his mood.

Adapt to your situations

One certainty of life is constant change, and in stead of getting stuck in moment of the past embrace the changes and adapt to the circumstances that surrounds you. There is no need to hide yourself from all the ugly in the world if you can become one with all the beauty that surrounds you.

The Chameleon is also capable up individual view through each eye, so while he has one eye focused on his prey he has another scouting for any predators.

Expand your vision

Although humans are not capable of moving our eyes in the same manner that the chameleon does, we are able to attain better insight and vision. It is so important to open your mind and heart to new ideas and concepts in order to grow.

And the last thing that came to mind was the slow pace at which the chameleon moved.

Patience

Some times we need to put all the hustle and bustle behind us and slow down, patience can definitely be a great virtue.
