My Daily Walk - New York City - Mahattan Adventures (1)

starjewelPosted for Everyone to comment on, 5 years ago2 min read

A while ago I started a little challenge that I named #mydailywalk. I think it is a great idea, at least we get a theme and a motivation to post daily... in case we get writer's block Ha Ha.

I realized that it is almost impossible to post daily. So, once in a while is ok. As I am an organized person (OCD maybe), I will post my photos from Manhattan in a series of "Manhattan Adventures". I recently had a contractor job there and I took hundreds of pics ready to be shared. The photos were taken on my daily walks back and forth New Jersey - New York and I think they fit perfectly in #mydailywalk challenge. Feel free to join me, I will read, comment and upvote all your posts.

All photos are mine, and you can find them also on my other personal social media accounts like FB, IG, Steemit, Weku, Kryptonia.

Today it's about street vendors.

I captured this awesome trade, right on Fifth Avenue, on the street. This guy is selling origami stuff.

Next corner someone is selling scarfs, hats and gloves...

Fruit stands all over the place of course. One banana 25 cents or maybe 50 cents, depends on location.

But the most popular are the food trucks. I used to buy my lunch almost every day from them, when I worked here. It is much cheaper than in the local delis or restaurants. Besides all, we are in Manhattan and everything is expensive.

Lunch time here... always a line... smells delicious...

Salads, Kebab, Gyros, halal meals...

And my favorite stands! Hot dogs and pretzels. If you're visiting NYC you must have a NYC hot dog. It is a staple. I am very happy that they sell pretzels in the same spot, because I am not a hot dog lover. Pretzels with mustard, that's my favorite snack when I stroll in Manhattan. Even if I am not hungry I buy the pretzel and eat it later at home. I'm addicted.
