Customer Service ~ Is It Getting Stronger? ~ Or Fading Away?

I have had some customer experiences lately that I will gently term as Sub Optimal. I have to say that I don't think customer service is getting better generally and I'm not sure what to attribute that to. Are people receiving less training or inferior training? Does it have to do with generational gaps and varying expectations? Perhaps.

Eating out when I'm on the road gives me a wide variety of CS experiences to choose from. Today at Subway I was told I can have 6 tomatoes on my sub. I totally called the guy on it and he provided a little sign given him by his franchise owner proving it. I told him that isn't a corporate policy and that I would be calling Subway head office to discuss it with them. I'm not a big fan of stuff like that. Just say your owner is a cheap skate and doesn't want to serve his customers. Simple as that. Subway will be getting an earful tomorrow :joy:
