The point and the message of this movie is that life is short, and to not waste it and spend it in the blank, to help, to laugh, to leave something behind us that will last forever.

There are a lot of movies with the same idea, but on Ikiru the idea is presented in a masterful way, you will weep and laugh with the main character in the movie.

I do not want to write about the content, you’ll see it yourself once you decide to watch this amazing masterpiece by Kurosawa.

Kurosawa is one of the Founding Fathers of the Cinema. After “Dersu Uzala” this is Kurosawa’s second most powerful movie, he is one of the greatest directors of all time, his movies are always appreciated and all of his movies have very strong message to tell. He tells a very humanistic story in this movie, his skills with the camera movements are superbly.

I highly recommend you to watch this movie, this type of movies are my favorite ones. Movies about life, human mind, social norms etc. are very much appreciated by me and they will always have a special spot in my heart and mind.
