We don't know what a lot of people are going through even with the tough choices they have to make but we are always quick to judge people from the surface without understanding the life they have been exposed to. A lot of people enjoy pointing accusing fingers at others but when they are presented with the choices of others, they would do worse.

We live in a world where we want others to look bad so we can cover up our failings or shortfalls. We want others to be ridiculed so we can take the focus off our weaknesses but dragging others down would never increase your sense of worth. Who you are is who you are; deeply buried inside you. If you are a good person you are a good person and if you are not, you are not, no matter how much you try to blow your horn, you know who you are deep down.

I am always wary of those who want others to look so bad desperately so they can think they are the better human. You are in no way better, in fact, you are worse because you are still in denial of who you truly are and at least, the other person already knows who he or she is and only needed help to get out of it. How do you get out of a problem you don't know you have that you are masking just by highlighting the problems of others? If for anything, it makes you look bad because you have seen the problem, why not help the person instead?

We are all capable of doing terrible things when the conditions are right. Yes, there are some things we would never do but there are some things we would do which we think we would never do but it takes the right kind of condition or circumstance to bring that out of us. We all should strive to do better rather than drag others down.

A lot of people had to choose between two terrible choices and yes, I get it, they can choose not to make a choice at all and suffer for it but how do you explain that to someone who had to live in constant fear all his or her life with no single help in sight? Some things are better imagined than experienced. You only have to be in their shoes to fully understand and I pray we won't have to be in that kind of shoes.

Only those who wear the shoes know where it pinches. Life serves us with different sizes based on our varying backgrounds. If you try to wear other people's shoes you won't only suffer bruises, you would fully understand why they are the way they are.

A lot of people have suffered hurts, pain and ridicule beyond measures and I am not absolving them of the consequences of their wrong choices, no, I am only saying rather than castigate them, if you have them around you, why not just help them? We are always quick to ridicule others because we want to feel good about ourselves.

"No action would be considered blameless unless the will was so, for by the will, the act was dictated." - Anonymous. This is my way of saying, yes, we all have choices and we sometimes don't know the full extent of the consequences of our actions but we have an idea that what we are doing is wrong. It's okay to ask for help and it's okay to take a bold step too.

There are so many situations we can never understand and most of the time we don't want to understand it because we don't want to change the judgment or the resentments we have in our hearts over a situation we misjudged or didn't fully understand. It's easier to hate others than to love them which is why most people would rather hold on to resentments and anger rather than take the steps forward to understand the situation or even the person.

Humans are complex and so is life too. Just when you think you understand a situation, life happens and it twists your understanding. In the same vein, you might think you understand another human until you notice that you don't even when you are fully prepared for all eventualities. There is nothing new under the sun, they say. They might be right because it might be new to you but it doesn't mean it hasn't happened before so we can't say we are fully prepared for every situation until life happens.

I have heard many times how some people said they would act in a particular way if a particular situation presents itself but they acted completely opposite that claim when life dealt them the blow. Some thought they would do worse but they did better while those who thought they would do better did worse. It's about the situation and our understanding of it.

Let's all strive to do better and cut people some slacks. Let's help them when there is a need to rather than drag them through the mud to make them even worse off than we met them. We are all a work in progress and no one knows it all. Even when others do things you never even expect a child to do, it's because they need help. We all have our moments of weaknesses. It's okay if they refuse your help too, it only means you are not the one to help but wow the seed, let others continue from where you stopped. Don't make it about you...allow people to come to terms with things on their own. Cut them some slacks and stop judging them.
