I think it was about 1992 and my boyfriend at the time was getting into the heavy metal music scene. We went to New York City a few times to watch some of his friends play in a band. I think the band was HeadStrong - but that could have been the name of their album; a promo release 45 record. << we didn't have CDs yet!

Anyway...

Half the time he'd come out beat up and bloody from the mosh pit while I was perfectly happy to sit at the bar and sip on a few screwdrivers and stuff wads of bar napkins in my ear so I could hear the next day. LOL

Ah, youth. Good times. And listening to GWAR.
