Some of us still do not refer to ourselves as bloggers. Be that as it may, be informed that so long you have a blog where you put up beautiful posts that generated traffic and reaction from people, you are a blogger.
Goodevening and welcome to my blog. Today, I am supposed to write a poem but on a second thought I had a change of mind and decided to make a post that I consider necessary and maybe useful to one or two readers.
On whaleshares, some of us face the challenge of having to update our blog everyday. Questions like, "I do not know what to blog about" suffices and atimes it could just be one experiencing a writer's block. If you do not fall in any of the above mentioned categories but sometimes get tired of blogging about same subject matter then this post also is for you.
Today I shall be making a post of the various topics one can blog about just to keep your blog busy. Blogging takes a lot of determination and persistence to write daily and keep it hot but who says you can't get out of the box and be extraordinary?
Here are 15 things you can blog about when you feel drained, confused or experiencing writer's block.
1 Your life: who knows your story better than you? You do not need to consult any book or surf the net to put up an amazing write up about your life that will keep your readers entertained. When writing about your life, it spans across your high school experiences, a secret no one knows about you, life experiences, hardest decision you ever had to make and upcoming events in your life. Here, the list is endless and the horizon is yours to explore.
Your day: Everyday comes with its own challenges and stress. Share photos of what you did during the day. Talk about the events that happened to you during the day from break of dawn till dusk. Talk about people you met and places you visited. A little creativity is all you may need to make it lively and invigorating.
Food and Drinks: you don't have to be a glutton or a drunk to have something to talk about this. Do you enjoy nice wine and know how it is brewed or you enjoy cooking? How about teaching us some of your culinary skills.
Response to a post: we all know the importance of commenting on people's post but may not know that our comments can actually make a beautiful post of it's own. Next time you read a post and have a great input, how about making a post giving reference to the author of the post and the post. You can also decide to write an update on a post you enjoyed reading or even make a post of a second series or opinion about it.
DO IT YOURSELF (DIY): This is for the professionals. Are you a painter, graphic designer, interior decorator, architect, bead maker, designer etc, this is for you. Make a post giving us a comprehensive guide/tutorial on how you came about the perfectly finished product. I am sure it will be fun giving us a step by step guide.
Rant/Happy Post: there are days you wake up and the whole of that day is totally off with lots of negative vibes and unfortunate incidents happening. There are also days you wake up and there is so much favour all around and blessings. How about sharing your emotions with your followers.
Advertise 5 blog you just can't get enough of: whaleshares has lots of prolific writers giving you value for your time. You can decide to choose 5 posts from the blog of this great writers and write about it. This will definitely get them to visit your blog.
Run a contest: this is one of the fastest ways to generate traffic to your blog. It is also a way of giving back to the community. Whenever you are bored and unsure of what to blog about, just run a contest.
Bust a Myth: there are thousands of well-known things that actually are not true. Do research to disprove some of them. Myth buster sounds like fun.
Book review/ Product review/ film review: read an interesting book and tell us about it. Do a literal criticism of the book based on content, style and merit. Talk about it's subject, strength and weaknesses. Write a movies review expressing your opinion about the movie. Entice your readers and tell them why they should check out the movie or maybe not.
Interview: interview is fast gaining ground on blogging platforms. How about joining the train and bringing a personality lots of people would love to read about to your blog. Get him/her to talk about great stories behind their work, life and career.
Make Videos: are you a professional singer or dancer or maybe an actress or you just do it for fun? Whaleshares is presenting you with a platform to express yourself and sell yourself to the world.
Create a list of something: nowadays people are too lazy to read. Create a list of things you feel they may want to know about. It could be a list of best colour combination for a wedding or a top ten list of music or video topping the world chart or perhaps a list of trendy wears or hairstyles.
Gift ideas: there are so many celebrations going on. Lots of wedding, graduations , anniversaries etc. Make a post giving details of the best gift ideas and hoe much it cost to have one for any occasion. Someone might just be having a decision making problem on what engagement ring to buy.
Gifs and Memes: Well, some people are doing exploits with this already on shitpost friday. You can also join the moving train.
It doesn't always have to be about your niche. Give substance and people will grow to love whatever you put out there for them to read. Always remember profit is not passion but popularity. Blog about what people are passionate about and just become passionate about the lifestyle the blogging allows you to live.
