I know I did this a few days ago and last month also and it may be getting old now... If so I apologise dear reader.

But this happens to me a lot! I started a typical comment on the post written by @erodedthoughts and it exploded into a post... He is the stellar guy behind the new @unity witness. I would tell you to consider voting for him but he would likely kick my ass. You see, he always advises people to learn about their witnesses before voting. The only hint I will offer you is go and do just that. If you want a community minded witness, a witness that cares about the platform heading south and who is looking for ways to make WLS a tangible currency...then do indeed go vote check him out.

Here is the post I am responding to. Do give it a read, it's incredibly interesting.

Here is the @met post that @erodedthoughts refers to. Go take a look... There may be rewards for you if you can take part!

Below is the comment... I may have tidied it up a little as some of my comments are so furiously typed and badly edited, they are shocking.

Since day one on the platform I have viewed every WLS as having a one dollar value. If that is all it becomes worth over the next eighteen months - two years I would be disappointed tbh as I see so much potential if the growth of the platform and the ideas it spurs are harnessed correctly. That has always been the minimum value in my mind.

I think a lot about my upshare + reward habits, witness votes and current stake because I believe there is a lot of money being distributed around the platform and I always have half an eye on those I engage with often... because we have all witnessed what happens under cover of darkness when nobody is looking, right?

I will be damned if I will stand by and watch things turn to sh... Well you know where I am coming from, I am sure. Don't misunderstand it may still happen, but afterwards my hands will be clean, my conscience clear...

I finally got round to reviewing my votes again, now a weekly habit and am delighted to say you are one of them... obviously. Much as though I believe you to be a nice dude and replete with integrity... I have never found you to be fluffy in your views and I have heard you once or twice call BS, people often miss this as a quality we need around here...

People often mistake calling out people, groups or problems as negativity... Not at all. Not calling Bs at the right time is the most damaging thing we can do, it is far easier to correct the course of a runaway train immediately after it alters course than to wait till it builds up a head of Steem and hurtles five miles down the track.

Jeez!!! yet again a thirty second comment has gotten back to that place and indeed, hurtled five miles down the track...

Nobody is taking the bait on showing their colours with regard to value of the item in question... Based on the content of this comment, ((now a post lol)) the logical offer for me to make would be 135 WLS... However as I have also stated the duration I expect for the WLS to achieve it's value, I would have to make it 270 WLS + shipping.

My natural inclination is to say much more, but then what does this say for the beliefs I have discussed in the comment? ((a rock and a hard place here!!!))

I shall try and remember to return to this post through the next couple of weeks as I am fascinated to see how things transpire... Oh I wholeheartedly agree with your comments on the powerdown levels. I think they create a dangerous precedent for future growth perception. When this happens at certain levels and by people of a certain profile on the platform it can be doubly damaging!

Many of us on the platform discuss the ideas you highlight in this post often, with regard to mass adoption, future price and development predictions and liquidity of all crypto, WLS in particular, obviously. So kudos on bringing it to the forefront in such a visual and practical manner. Thankyou also to @met for doing their bit to tackle the problem of liquidity and real world application.

Every single one of us here yearn to see the day when this fake internet money becomes an actual tangible, tradable currency for physical goods and services alike. I do not think we are so far away from that as people might imagine. I wholeheartedly expect to see @matthewdavid and @creatr in the comments section of your post as these are guys who have this vision front and centre in their minds already.

((I just re-checked Matthew is all over it of course! :sunglasses: Sadly @creatr seems to be suffering from troll problems. :weary: ))

I am certain that most of us could find at least one or two things that others would be happy to purchase with WLS.

Let's try this Whaleshares, what do you say?
