An empty book of love
dropped in front of us
With enthusiasm, we picked it up
Hoping that what we fill in it
is nothing but happiness,
Love-filled stories with little quarrels
That we can end with kisses and hugs

We only saw blank pages,
we had no idea about warnings,
test, hardship and cries
That was hidden, buried inside the white papers.

We thought,
Love should guide us through
It will lead us right
and give the strength we needed
But here we are now
Fallen apart, left with only memories
Here we are now,
Hopes dashed with invisible
tear flakes on our faces
Left to wander the dark tunnel of loneliness.

The book of you and I
That we wanted to be used
As a diary till we die and a fairytale novel
That ends with happily ever after
Has become what we have to end abruptly
With mixed feeling memories of what could have been
Maybe we were too young or we didn't work hard enough

Thank you for your time.

My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.

Still me,

My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.
