A woman's Facebook friend claimed that Bitcoin was a scam today.

Joe Scoby of Lancaster tells us that,

"Why would anyone want to get into this shite anyway? The price goes way up, and then it plummets back down to nothing. I'd rather invest my money in dog shit," explained the non-believer.

"I mean I've never used it before but I know a total scam when I see one, and putting my money into it one day, and then it being worthless the next, is where I draw the line. Worthless tech shite-coins is what I say"

"I'd rather do something like sign up for this free £800 Tesco shopping voucher that this lovely page has offered to give me. I only need share their content and add my details."

"Anyway, I'm off to Mexico. I hear the exchange rate for my pounds is awesome there"

We asked Joe how he thinks his pounds gain value but he stuck the middle finger up at us and told us he was too busy getting drunk on his heavy exchange rate.

Sue, the woman-friend was flummoxed,

"Dumb bastard. How does he think his pounds appear? It's all speculation too. It's all a Ponzi scheme for fuck sake. He's off to Mexico to buy his cheap beer, fags and whisky; just wait until the pound nosedives after the stock market bubble bursts. Then we'll see who's laughing. I might buy him a loaf of bread when he's living under a bridge"

"I don't know why I'm still his friend," Sue exclaimed
