“I’m not enough.” Is it true?

“I’m not _____ enough”. How many of you have you had this thought? And how many of you have had more than enough of this thought? I raise my hand 🖐

And since I believe that more than enough of us have had enough of it, here’s my invitation for us to respond to it by telling it in what way you are more than enough.

I’ll start. You can join me or leave me hanging in cyberspace alone with my statements but I say I’m enough because I do my best at any given moment based on knowing what I know, and despite not knowing all that I don’t know. I’m beautiful enough even though my face and body don’t have perfect “model” features, I like what I see in the mirror and at one or more points in my life, someone found me beautiful, too.

I am enough because when I love, I love deeply, profoundly and with all of my heart. And for a long long time. I’m lovable enough even though it’s been a while since I’ve experienced reciprocated love and affection. For now, my love is enough. My love will always be enough. It’s the only one that will always be there. I’m worthy enough because I am alive and a few people have found my contribution to their lives worthy, whether by showing them that I care, sharing my music with them or just being there for them when they needed it. I am enough in all these ways and more.

In what way are you enough?
