'Outside here we say birds, not b*tches'

Ow ow ow, there is nothing worth more than a weekend out with the girls from another country. The nice things about these kinds of visits is the base rule: It doesn't matter how long you haven't seen each other, you just pick up where you left off, regardless if there was a week/month/year of absence.

It is always a question thatI am wondering, what do other people do in a city trip? What do they expect from a city trip? I don't care too much about cultural events or museums. Beautiful buildings only have my attention for a couple of minutes. Nature is what really grasps my attention, but when it is rainings cats and dogs...Then what to do?

The funny things about hanging with the girls is... You literally do not need anything, just time together!

For some reason I find it important that people have a feeling about where you live. This doesnt necessarily has to be the perfect one on how you also experience it yourself, but when you are referring to something, it is nice if people have an idea what you are talking about.

I had this with almost with everybody who visited me in the Caribbean. That later on they would say: 'This would never be a place for me to live, but I really do understand that you call this place home, and WHY you want to live here!'

With my friends this was also the case. We always whatsapp a lot and call occsionally, but you don't always have the chance to decently get to the parts on what goes on in each others lives, you just need some more time for that that half an hour.

Some coffee bars, good food in the evening and wine later on talking until the break of dawn in pyjamas. That is what us birds need!
