Love in winter - A medallion story

In my family there's a little story about medallions. My parents had a humble student's wedding in Blackpool England 42 years ago. My father, a man of proses, proposed to my mother on a simple bus stop in winter. There was no ring. Instead, my parents wore that day chains with a little medallion with the image of Saint Cristobal, protector of travelers. There's no clear photo of those and in a moment of need were sold.
I always loved their way to carry their mutual commitment was medallions, maybe for being something you wear near your heart or maybe because I'm a gamer of rpgs hehe. It makes me think that symbols of commitment can be diverse and unique between persons; symbols we charge of feelings, identity and soul.

Happy 42th anniversary to my parents, I celebrate it by making a medallion using paper quilling art technique. I never get tired of enjoying this story of a couple travelers joining their routes on a far away land. I love you.
