For me it is hard right now being a whalesharion... (is there a consensus on what we actually call ourselves?)

This 2 week payout cycle is amazing if you are in it but if you are new its a real drag.

In Steem I am used to being able to go around, read articles and curate.

I miss being able to vote

Here I still have a bit to go. I still go around, comment but not being able to reward people is something I have gotten used to.

I have moved on from facebook thumbs up to rewarding people for their contribution.

Then this realisation just dawned on me.

We are slowly becoming the product of a new generation of internet users. Web 3.0

Here is my challenge to you all

Go to Facebook, instagram and the like, dust off your login and password. Then you login not because you want to but because of this challenge. This is in the name of science, you are not betraying anyone.

• Then browse through the posts and look at the comments and the little likes.
  -Then try to leave a comment that just consists of a smiley. (you will want to write something well thought out but here you are not allowed)
• After that press the like button
• Finally analyse your feelings about this.

and compare the feeling of leaving a comment and/or an upvote here (you can of course do this by upvoting this blog)

This is an amazing difference. For me it is an actual thought on who I will reward on posts or comments and how much. But it is also something that has become quite natural as an act. Here is where we are so much farther along this web 3.0 path then the generation web 2.0

I keep trying to convince others to join in and one at a time they are getting there. Slowly and surely we are convincing others to join in this new way of thinking.

So do not give up converting.
