My RANT about "Litter Droppers" ~ BLURT ‼️

I've just got home from a walk to my local lake and nearby Supermarket, and feel the need to RANT about a woman I spoke to about her child's behaviour! Firstly, I walk round the lake on the concrete footpath, feeding some ducks and avoiding any Dogs not on a lead. I decided to sit on a wooden bench for a bit and just chill ~ Except! I'm confronted with a pile of used beer cans and Pizza boxes spread out all along the bench  Which had obviously just been left there from the previous night's feast by a small group of lazy slobs! So, before I can even sit down, I have to gather up all this rubbish and deposit it in the "Rubbish Bin", which is literally right next to the bench.

Ok! I stop for a second :hourglass: before I continue ranting...
and show you a nice view of what the countryside should look like below :eyes: :grinning:

Now on with my RANT!
After sitting on the bench for a while, and still feeling a bit irritated, but a bit calmer than I was! I then noticed a woman walking next to her child along the footpath. I saw her give the child some kind of chocolate bar or sweet maybe :chocolate_bar: :candy:

Then as I watched with astonishment, the child just discarded the empty wrapper on the ground right in front of me 😲 without even looking for a bin or having a single thought of giving the wrapper back to her Mother. I could not resist speaking to the child saying: "There is a bin just there (pointing to the large Rubbish bin) next to the bench! The child looked in my direction, but said nothing, and simply continued walking. So I shouted as her loudly this time: "Please pick up your empty wrapper and put it in the bin please!" Still I was ignored

This time, I got her Mother's FULL attention, but instead of her saying to the child: "please do as the man asked, and don't drop your litter!". The Mother just starred as me saying: "Don't shout at my child", then proceeded to pick up the wrapper and put it in the bin herself. She shouted to me: "It's just a wrapper", and walked off with her child. I said NOTHING more :pensive:

So I ask you all :bangbang: What example does this give the child  That it's OK to just drop litter  Or do we now live in a society that just don't care anything about teaching their kids not to DROP LITTER :bangbang: Is this the future view of our countryside below  A scary thought :bangbang:
