How I Found My Way To Whaleshares.. 🐳

*Random muggin selfie.. cos you know, why not? #introduceyourself 🙃*

Finally! Sigh..

So I've just been in head down, "back to blogging" hustle mode for the past week and smack! As synchronicity always does, I scrolled down my feed and out pops a post from my good buddy @samstonehill : 100 followers today 🎉 A whaleshares/steem comparison ☯

When the student is ready right? Sammy is one of those dear friends that I don't talk to for ages, then when we do we're always right where we left off. Each time we cross paths we unknowingly exchange valuable insights and I always feel deeply enriched by our friendship. I truly appreciate the time I've known both him and @sebcam as we've all grown so much along our paths together.

I often remember once we randomly met in Santa Monica ~2012. We happened to be in LA at the same time after not meeting for many years. Sharing a joint on the beach we talked about the then $100 bitcoin "thing" and the idea of going fully "online" with nothing but a backpack and a dream. We stared into the sunset with no much but a vague intuition that this conversation was somehow important.

Whales same same but different..

Funny enough we have both lead similar paths since then and yet played them so differently. He's the one who hipped me to Steemit and since watching him grow and go full Steem last year, it really inspired me to pay more attention to it. Enter @alexpmorris, somewhere in the ocean I meet Alex. I feel he was sharing tips on crypto charts and we started chatting back and forth, eventually ending up on each others steemautos. Remember that was a thing? Seems so long ago now..

Alex and I stayed in touch while all the whale jerking and flagging wars unraveled. We also saw each other in the same discords talking about this witness voting racket and some other cracks appearing in the platform. We've all been here long enough to seen how things evolved. I remember Alex being one who was aware and open to talking about solutions. For all sense and purposes I trust both Alex and Sam's opinions, intentions and credibility. I felt it's important to backstory these connections.

Leaving Los Angeles ☀🚀 (Some time around 2012-13)

So September arrives and whale shares is already public. Alex brings me in, shares some of the fresh concepts and gifts me some 🐳 steak! As I said in yesterday's post, the bear market hit my family harder than anticipated. While I was super hyped about a solution to the stagnant stinc-y issues, I really wasn't able to fully focus on this opportunity.

That's my Steem journey up to right about now. As I read Sam's post and started re-reading the ones I've shared here already. I quickly realized how easily I slipped back into old systems and habits. I love STEEM and I love the people I've met there. I'm invested in the community and personally value loyalty. So the idea of jumping ship never sits right with me..

Leaving the safety and security of what you know to venture into the unknown..

Thankfully in my heart I don't feel this will be the case on Whaleshares and Steemit. I plan to openly cross-post and cross-promote with both platforms, though we'll see what the flaggers say about that. I've always been one to advise others that if it's ever a matter of loving one or another.. chose both! So that's what feels right and exciting here, just like any polyamorous porn couple: Be open, honest and free so that everyone can have a lot more fun! 💕💖

Now that I've finally done my #introduceyourself post, I don't feel so awkward cross-posting between both platforms. I decided I'm not going to write primarily as if I'm here or there. I anticipate it's all going to blend together effortlessly and that's definitely something to love. Why let a silly thing like tradition stop us from sharing love in multiple places right?

Especially since we're all doing our best to "be" the example for mass adoption. Let's show the world all the amazing platforms we can choose for blockchain based blogging. That's all for this post, thanks for reading and hopefully sharing. I looking forward to meeting more of you here soon!

See you tomorrow,

Keni 😄

Today I have worn these fivefingers 🇮🇹 Oggi ho calzato queste fivefingers 🇺🇸 At 7:30 I accompanied my daughter at school by car, in presence of thick fog. Then, after some housework, at 8:30 we went out 🐶🐕🐶 for a long walk in the Sile Natural Park. Back home, long relaxing bath with essential oils: my feet 👣 were no longer used to walking so much! @amico! 😘

We're wondering how many of you Steemsouls are using Steemit as a form of healing and wellness, writing to explore your emotional life and connect to others? In this second interview with @crescendoofpeace (you can find her water kefir interview here) by the unstoppable.. @naturalmedicine

I was there in the early days of steem when there were just a few of us and everyone seemed to know each other. The rewards were greater at that time and there was an optimism in the air which was unmistakable. Something new.. @samstonehill

Hey fellow Whaliens! It recently came to my attention that some on the platform may see it fit to flag others (as in, remove rewards) simply for sharing their opinions or interests, or possibly cuz they didn't like the color of the person's shirt in their profile pic. If you really don't care for someone, feel free to simply "MUTE" them.. @alexpmorris
