Hello Whaleshares, My Name Is Keith Boone

I signed up for Whaleshares a couple of days ago, and now I think it's time to say hello! My name is Keith Boone and I'm a freelance photographer living in Victoria, British Columbia. We're situated on the southern tip of Vancouver Island off the west coast of Canada, in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

I'm very happy to be here and to see so many people I've met on Steemit. I started blogging there about 11 months ago and it's been a great experience - but it also feels good to start out fresh in a new community.

I thought perhaps the best way to introduce myself would be to simply show you some photos and talk about what I do. Photography is an absolute passion for me and I love to shoot so many different types of subjects... that's not good as a career move. You know that right? You're supposed to specialize!

I don't care about that! I'm 64 and I don't need a career, I 'm just doing what I like. That mean's I'm kinda all over the road if you know what I mean.

I do have some favourite types of photography. Nature and wildlife for example. Lots of opportunity for these sort of shots here! Oh, and I like to talk... I tend to go on and on. Try not to take me too seriously, ok?

If you hear me claiming to be "Bond-Villain rich", or saying I own a skull-shaped island for example, check the time. Is it 4:20? Perhaps I'm just making something up. It's hard to know when I'm telling the truth. It is for me also! :sunglasses:

Let's see... what else do I shoot? Macro is something I really love! That shot above is not all that great but it is GREEN! The post needed something green by this point. Trust me.

RED. We totally needed RED next. I just realized I got a colour wheel thing going on here! I'm on a roll, just go with it... Oh, that's another thing: coloUr. I spell words like that with a "U" the way God intended... Damn you Noah Webster!!! Ah, but I digress...

Landscapes, that's another thing I like. Plenty of that here in the Pacific Northwest.

I should probably start to wrap this up before I show you every picture I ever took! Thanks a lot for reading. If you made it this far, you can probably tell who I am. A bit of a goof... I love to enter contests, so you may see some of my work there. I love to talk about camera gear and nerdy subjects like that so perhaps we'll chat about lenses and gear. (Ask me about my new Olympus EM5 Mk ii.... wow, what fun!)

I'm looking forward to meeting you all, and getting to know you! It probably goes without saying, but just in case: all the work I post is my own. I'm a 100% original content sorta guy, and that's a very big deal with me.
