Gratis fonts (en meer) / Free fonts (and more) NL/EN

Je computer komt standaard met een hoeveelheid aan lettertypes, en meestal is dat meer dan voldoende om een mooie tekst te maken. Als je dan nog een teken of fotobewerkingsprogramma hebt geïnstalleerd, komen daar nog eens een flink aantal lettertypes bij.
Maar af en toe kom je tot de vaststelling dat je net niet dat lettertype vindt om die mooie uitnodiging of verjaardagskaart iets extras te geven. Of je wilt een persoonlijke en/of speciale touch aan geven aan je website.
Precies daarom is het soms nuttig om een extra lettertype te installeren. Natuurlijk kan je er veel, heel veel vinden op het net, al dan niet gratis. Omdat gratis vetgedrukt staat in mijn woordenboek (big smile) zoek ik meestal in die richting.
Vandaag stel ik U ByPeople voor, een website waar je gratis fonts kan downloaden die meestal ook gratis te gebruiken zijn voor commerciële doeleinden. Je moet echter wel inloggen en dat kan bijvoorbeeld met je google account. Het is zeker de moeite om de site te bezoeken want buiten die gratis lettertypes vindt je er ook icoontjes, WP thema's, CSS snippets, E-Books, en nog veel meer.
De lettertypes in het voorbeeld zijn "Facon", "Imperfect" en Odinus.
Na het downloaden (in zip -formaat), pak je ze uit, en installeer je ze...klaar.

Your computer comes standard with a number of fonts, and usually that is more than enough to make a nice text. If you have installed a drawing or photo editing program, a large number of fonts are added.
But every now and then you come to the conclusion that you just don't find the font to give that beautiful invitation or birthday card something extra. Or you want to give a personal and/or special touch to your website.
That is exactly why it is sometimes useful to install an extra font. Of course you can find many, many of them on the net, whether or not for free. Since free is written in bold in my dictionary (big smile), I usually look in that direction.
Today I present to you ByPeople, a website where you can download free fonts that are usually also free to use for commercial purposes. However, you must log in and you can do that for example with your Google account. It is definitely worth visiting the site because besides those free fonts you will also find icons, WP themes, CSS snippets, E-Books, and much more.
The fonts in the example are "Facon", "Imperfect" and "Odinus".
After downloading (in zip format), unzip them, and install them...done.
