Can you guess what it is?

One of the YouTube channels that follows us offered a special gift recently. Apparently they have some White Guinea Fowl, and thought we'd enjoy adding some to our poultry list here. So... did they send us some birds?

HATCHING EGGS!!!!

Actually, they sent us some fertilized eggs to put in our incubator. Last time, Pinkie-Pepper managed to hatch four out with some regular Guinea Fowl eggs that we tried, so we are hoping for better results this time. Guinea Fowl are not only a very interesting bird to observe, but they also serve a number of purposes.

For one, they are edible. Also, they can be rather noisy and can work as an "alarm system." One of the main reasons that we have them is "tick control," since they are known for eating Wood Ticks and Deer Ticks. We also enjoy the eggs, although they are tougher to crack than a chicken egg. Anyway, so far we have a couple "regular" colored Guinea Fowl and some "lavender" colored ones too. We'll see how the incubation goes, and if you want to thank the man who sent them, here's a link to the Eric Johnson YouTube Channel

Until next time…

Make today special!
